Getting pretty darned tired of processing Tomatoes in to delicious soup/sauce, but now that I know I'm gonna need a gallon for catering this weekend I've got a renewed interest in getting this done! SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE BUMPER CROPS OF TOMATOES THIS YEAR, which is weird because the last two years in a row all people have been able to do is complain about how the tomatoes just aren't performing well any more - inspired us to give up after the first year of null results.

As it stands right now, I have 6 sources of tomatoes in my immediate area, and another 3 that are within 5 minutes of here. Much like Zucchini, every time I mention that I'm cooking with Tomatoes I get a dozen personal messages offering me unlimited bushells full of the things :)

I'll keep going on this as long as I can still stomach it :)

I'm only processing my own and it's taking much of my time. Five sources sounds like quite a lot…

I may not like the heat, but on the bright side this summer has had great tomato weather.

You can always freeze your soup/sauce mixture. Makes serving a quick healthy meal that much easier in the winter time.
