The Creepy Baby Conundrum

All year long, Crystal and I have been collecting creepy baby dolls at various thrift stores with the express intent of mutilating them for our Halloween display. Last year we had a Halloween Crafting Party where we invited all our guests to go nuts with the limited amount of dolls we had at the time and got some excellent results - this year was going to be EVEN BETTER!

But then something happened.

Our next-door neighbor, who LOVES Halloween and always loads her yard up with witches and spooks just as much as WE do every year, got a terrible shock - her premature infant grandbaby died on Halloween :(

So now I don't know what to do with all these babies! It would be in EXTREMELY poor taste to decorate the tree in our front yard with dozens of babies in hangmans nooses (like I had hoped to do)... matter of fact, pretty much ANY Dead Baby decoration is going to be all kinds of *wrong*.

What do we do NOW?

I second the previous notion. It seems like common sense, but it's actually incredibly thoughtful of you guys to be aware of that sort of thing and contain yourselves (also, what a crazy fun idea! BRING THEM TO MY HOUSE!)

Hmm, in that vain, is there another house, or place that you guys could decorate with them? A friend or relative who wouldn't mind have a creepy doll day and free decorating services?

I wish there WERE another house or place we could Grotesquely Baby-Up, but we're the only ones of our immediate circle of friends that has all the qualifications - A house, in a neighborhood that allows excessive Halloween Decorations, that isn't out in the middle of the country where the closest neighbor that *might* see our handiwork is more than half a mile away :/

We're working it... tonight we're going to look at our schedule and see if we can make it work. Maybe we should make it a paid event - $10 gets you a baby and unlimited access to our crafting supplies? That's a better deal that you'd get at the hospital!

Sounds good to me!
