Does this really count as Nostalgia?
Lately I've been feeling nostalgic gor the 90's, but only because the 90's were the last time that the 60's/70's/80's stuff that I like so much were popular. So really, I'm nostalgic for the nostalgia of that time.
The 90's were so full of promise! Big-screen movie deals were being made for Land Of The Lost, H.R. Puffnstuff, The A-Team, Battle star Galactica, and Knight Rider (to name but a few)! They re-released the entire Star Wars trillogy to the theaters! Popular groups of the day were recording cover versions of my favorite Saturday Morning theme-songs and every School House Rock song there was! nd all the toys I had WISHED they had made back then were now being made (an Electra-Woman action figure to name but one)!
Now all that stuff is done with, and I miss it :(

Who was it that said that the 90's were the 60's standing on its head?
Of course, I was watching my old collection of MST3K a few days ago (Comedy Central, circa 1993-1995) and marveling at how *dated* the comercials looked. And it was only ten years ago! The earlier comercials were looking like the actors were hung-over from the late 80's.

Anyway, you've mentioned all the right things in your reply here, so you will now be added to my friends list. You have no choice!

Back-atcha! Yeah, I'm a hopeless pop-culture whore. It's truly sad. My latest love affair has been with Homestar Runner. I can't believe I was slow to get to hip to it! Ah well...
