Two Years

[livejournal.com profile] khristle and i have now been married for 2 years; today is our Anniversarry!

As we both like to say, "Two years of not smothering you while you in your sleep" :)

We will be having the traditional celebration today of Magic at Qdoba, Thrift Stores and Gilmore Girls :)

Also contemplating picking up season 1 of "Lost" jus so we can fill in the gaps, maybe lend it to [livejournal.com profile] dotgirl and [livejournal.com profile] collisions once we're done. Need to borrow many DVD's from them as well...

Where was I? Oh, right! Our ANNIVERSARRY!!! We're not big on celebrating the anniversarry, just so long as we can be together. Our REAL anniversarry to us is May 5th, the day she moved here from Ohio.

I love her so very much! She more than anyone else encompasses less of the things I hate about everyone else than ANYONE ELSE I HAVE EVER MET!!! She's also the only person I can ever imagine sleeping in the same bed with, spending every day with, and generally sharing my entire life with. I'm so lucky I can hardly believe it :)

Bizzare Twist

Certain movies (usually those from Paramount for some reason, such as the Star Trek movies) just do not play correctly in my DVD Player. They play sort of like, well... remember back in the old dyas, when you'd make a copy of a Video Tape, and the video tape had Copy Protection on it? So your COPY ended up flashing slowly from really light to really dark, making the copy almost unwatchable? Well that's what brand-spanking new rental movies do on this DVD player. It's one of those cheap-ass off-brand "Sorny" or "Panavision" players, so I've never thought much about it.

However, today we made the discovery that if I go ahead and make an ILLEGAL COPY of a DVD that WON'T play in my DVD player, the ILLEGAL COPY will play just fine. And in a very black-fly-in-my-chardonay twist, we made this discovery with the DVD of LOST that we just bought, frustrated because it would not play!

So in a nutshell, the DVD we ought LEGALLY won't play, ut the ILLEGAL COPY is working just fine.
