008 - Progress Thus Far

Five days in to the New Year and my Resolutions are on point!

During the Month-N-A-Half of "Down Time" from Thanksgiving till Monday After New Year's - the period of time where i counted no calories, did no workouts and ate as much food as I liked - I LOST TWO POUNDS. Regardless, counted my calories all day long and did a half-hour on the Elliptical Machine at the YMCA while listening to Welcome To Nightvale podcast. Nightvale is *perfect* for this as I have about two years of podcasts to catch up on, and each one is only a half-hour long.

Thanks to the 2-20/10 Cleaning System, the kitchen and the dining room table are CLEAN. This will make tonight (No Tech Tuesday Game Night) SO MUCH EASIER! And my big cleaning goal from yesterday, the dining room "Catch All" shelf, is 90% done.

I didn't get my ten dollars squirreled away yet, as I only have six bucks cash on my right now. I have till Sunday to get another four bucks - by hook or by crook! Thinking it might have to be a trip to Half Price Books.

Listed an item on Ebay. Not as good as my "List At Least 5 items for sale on-line", but it's a start. Also got my Ebay and Etsy accounts re-verified, so I'll most assuredly have my five items listed by Sunday.

Dinner was, by my reckoning, a HUGE SUCCESS. Sweet italian sausage in a from-scratch vegetable ragu featuring bell peppers, zucchini, tomato and onion. Served on a soft french roll (or on mashed white sweet potato for Crystal, who has problems with bread), it was delicious and filling and perfectly scratched my need-to-be-creative itch :) Tonight I think i want to do some sort of lemon chicken with rice and broccoli... I'll look at recipes and figure it out.

Tonight is No Tech Tuesday Game Night, which may be complicated by helping a friend figure out some dietary needs. As long as I can keep Molly off the computer for a few hours, I'll be happy - maybe I'll take the kids to the library while Crystal talks with our friend?
