Star Wars

I'm sure I'm not the first person to come to this conclusion, but I just got done watching Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of The Sith (available all this month on HBO) so it's fresh in my mind.

Is it just me, or does it seem that the big moral of the "Prequel" Star Wars flicks is "It doesn't matter what you do 'cuz Evil is gonna always win in the end, Good will be scattered to the far corners of the universe, and your Mom/Girlfriend/wife/whoever you care about is gonna DIE and you won't be able to do A SINGLE THING about it!"

Quite a turnaround from the "Evil will be vanquished and we'll all dance in the forest with Teddy Bears" ending of the original trillogy, huh?

I was ticked off at the Paname (?) character. What did she die of exactly? Selfishness maybe? Let me get this straight; she's strong enough to run a planet when she's a teenager but too weak to live for her children after her husband goes to the Dark Side?

Did Lucas decided he didn't like women anymore?

Not only did he start hating wimmin, but his WHOLE OUTLOOK on life sems to have changed! When he was young he made a trillogy about the scrappy young teenagers banding together and overthrowing the tyranical "Establishment" of grown-ups. Every adolescent dream and argument is represented and justified from going cruising with "The wrong type of people" (Han Solo) up to and including having a knock-down drag-out fight with your dad ("YOU'RE NOT MY REAL DAD I HATE YOU!!!")

Prequel trillogy teaches you not to disobey your elders or you'll end up with your arms and legs cut off before you get set n fire, and your loved ones will all die.
