Hurry home, buddy :(

Huffelpuff Van Whiskersface, the first kitty that [livejournal.com profile] khristle and I ever got together, is missing. He went missing some time between Friday morning when I was putting on my shoes and Sunday morning at 3am when Crystal asked "Hey, have you seen Huffy recently?" He's a bit of a loner/skittish cat who likes to find a good hidey-hole and stick with it, but we know of all his hiding places here in the apartment. And we can always get him to come out of hiding by jiggling the bag of Friskies and/or going "KITTYKITTYKITTYKITTY!!!"

But today, no Huffy :( We figure he must have got out Friday afternoon and has been wandering around outside for two days now. We both feel terribly guilty that we didn't even notice he was gone till two days later :(

This is the same cat that saved my life once. NO KIDDING! The heater in our apartment malfunctioned and set a ox of stuff on fire in our livingroom while I was dead asleep, and he kept jumping up on the bed and in my face and making a terrible racket (which is VERY unlike him) till I got up and realized there was a fire!

We rescued Huffy from the Humane Society during our first Christmas together. He had been segregated from all the other cats because he had a little respiratory infection that made him all sneezy and raspy-breathing ("Huffy" was a term used to describe his breathing). He locked his big gold eyes on me and it was love pure and simple. We petted him and he licked our hands... then he climbed on to Crystal's head and we adopted him.

Thank goodness we had him chipped! We're putting posters up all over the apartment complex now, so all we have to do is sit and wait!

Hurr home, buddy... we miss you!

Dude I'm so sorry. Have hope I'll put the word out to the OCLF and let them know one of there mercs has gone MIA. Maybe is the cat version of the littlest hobo saving your life and moving on to save others. I hope you find him.

If you have a screen door, you could leave it open a lot... if his sniffer works, he may be able to come back & sit crying at the door where you can hear him & let him back in.

Lurker managed to get out but he ended up sitting outside & crying at the door until we realized he'd gotten down off the roof & went to let him back in...

Oh no! How terrible... We have a huffing cat, too. And he saved your life? It tears me up whenever I see a missing cat flier... This is me wishing Huff a speedy return!
