khristle doesn't think that Kentucky is part of "The South".

Y'know... Kentucky Derby, "My Old Kentucky Home", Kentucky Fried Chicken, Bluegrass music...

She says "They're not part of The South... they're just kinda slow".

Kentucky fought on the side of the Confederacy. So, I'd say it is CERTAINLY part of the South. Yet, large parts of it are 'Slow'.

Kentucky was a border state in the Civil war and were pretty much split 50/50. When you hear about the Civil war being about "brother fighting brother" they are pretty much talking about Kentucky. Also, Lincoln was born there.
