khristle just told me that she thinks I should go up to my Parents place in Mount Vernon with Molly while I recover from the surgery (which is this Thursday at Noon, btw). And in order to maximize her ability to get stuff done and move things, Molly and I should stay there through Thanks Giving Weekend.At first I was just upset because it would mean a week-and-a-half away from my wife, a person who I still feel strong emotion towards despite everything television has ever taught me about marriage. It means she would be spending Thanksgiving *alone* :(
But just now it really hit me; if we do it this way? If I leave on Thursday afternoon and go directly to my parents after the surgery? Then THURSDAY MORNING WILL BE THE VERY LAST TIME THAT MOLLY OR I EVER SEE OUR APARTMENT.
This is the only home Molly has ever known. She's just recently started calling it "Home", too... she knows that THIS is where Molly lives.
And even though I've hated most things about this apartment, I've got to admit that I'm really gonna miss it :(
SO! All you folks who said you'd be willing to help out with the move? I'd really, REALLY appreciate it if you could make it our mission to get Crystal comfortable enough with the progress of our move that she'll feel up to taking a break long enough for Thanksgiving Dinner. I whole heartedly believe that it can be done by then.
What i really need (and I know that my FL is full of this) is somebody who can come and take down, pack-up and re-assemble our computers in the new place at the very least. Anybody feel up to that challenge?
