Ankle

Posting about this on April 2nd so you know that, yes, it is real.

Sprained my ankle bad enough to make me consider not going to Emerald City Comic Con - which, if you follow my Blog at all you will know is THE event that I look forward to each and every year :(

I'm depressed and angry. Finally I have somebody to direct my anger towards - my stupid doctor. Called him to say "HEY! I'm in pain! I need some meds!" and he was *supposed* to call in a prescription for Ibuprofen, but as of 6:30 last night the pharmacy had still not heard from him (and they checked with all the other Rite Aid Pharmacies just to make sure it didn't go to the wrong one). After the rush-job he did on my diagnosis last night (20 minutes from check-in to sitting in the car, and that included more time getting my X-Ray done than it did seeing the actual doctor) I'm very ready to switch to a new doctor.

I asked a doctor one time how they came up with a diagnosis so fast when I wrenched my knee all up. He said he sees so many injuries of that type he can usually tell right away what the problem is. "I am a highly trained expert after all." He said tongue in cheek. X Rays are really just to make sure there is no secondary damage. He said to be worried if your doctor took more than 5 minutes to diagnose a simple sprain.

As for the prescription, call his office and be a squeeky wheel. Co-pay advil is much cheaper than OTC advil (and usually in higher doses :D) Tell him you will be calling your pharmacy in 10 minutes to confirm it.

If all else fails see if you can get some friends to bring you a few doses. I have a big Costco bottle here you are welcome to a couple dozen pills from. I just can't get out to where you live.

As for ECCC you have a little time to rest up for it. I wouldn't cancel. Even if you can't tear through there like a 4 year old in a cotton candy factory you will still be able to get things done. Do you have any friends going that could help you out?

I shall miss tearing through it like a 4 year old in a cotton candy factory... thanks :)

Do you happen to know anyone who has a lot of knowledge about old cameras? I have a friend who is looking to sell a collection of them and I don't know much about them.

Also I'm looking for someone who can quickly spin baseball cards and sports memorabilia into much gold. Any ideas?

Only person I ever knew that did old cameras was Glen at The Business. And WOW does that reference need to be in the "You Know You're From Anacortes When" list!

Sports stuff, it's been a while but I'll see if any of my old contacts are still available for ya. How old of sports stuff are we talking?
