ECCC Day 1 Highlights
-Angus Oblong's Self portrait! Several moments admiring himself in a mirror, getting every possible angle... then drawing a circle, two dot-eyes and a line mouth. DONE!
-Chanting "KISS! KISS! KISS!" at the Wonder Twins till they kissed. I really REALLY hope they weren't actually brother and sister...
-The "A Christmas Story"-esque moment where i thought I was the first person to get there to buy the Hellboy Print only to be directed to The Back of The Line - at the other end of the convention hall.
-Overhearing Dan Didio in the Lobby offering to go buy Gail Simmone some coffe and saying "I think i saw a Starbucks not too far from here". And i stopped in my tracks and said "Really? You're in SEATTLE and you think the best and the closest coffee is a block away at Starbucks?"
-Seeing Wil Wheaton's line TWICE AS LONG as any other celebrity line-up ALL DAY LONG.
-Three copies of DC Comics Presents #62 in a quarter bin - He-Man's first appearance ANYWHERE beyond the toy shelf (pre-dates the cartoon by a few months). I constantly find them in quarter bins, and constantly sell them for anywhere between $30 and $60 a pop.
-Taking time off to go over and eat at The Cheesecake Factory with
khristal... never eat there again, but it was fun :)
-Getting one of the super-cool Girl Genius Jaegermonster Back packs SQUEEE!!!
-Goading SEVERAL Ladies in to putting on the Wonder Woman tiaras that DC Comics were giving out.
-Asking Steve The Producer (local radio "Celebrity" from 99.9 KISW THE ROCK) for a Prize and having him give me one - a Watchmen T-Shirt.
-Honest dealers willing to correct my math. Tried SEVERAL times to pay $5 for only $3 worth of comics.
-SO MUCH FREE CRAP from the fine folks at DC Comics!
And now I'm off to Day Two, when the INSANITY hits!

Read your other entries - love how can stretch your dollars at a con. You really should find an agent and publish a book on that.

I wonder if there's market fo that? Or at the very least, I could pitch the idea to Wizard or CBG...
Not a bad idea! Thanks!
