Molly had an Ouchie doctors appointment today (two shots - Flu and Chicken Pox), so I rewarded her for being so good and brave by going to the Chuck E. Cheese in Lynnwood.

Or is that Ghett O. Cheese?

Seriously, this is the most depressingly run-down bargain-basement Chuck E. Cheese I've ever seen in my entire life. For a long time I thought that all the Chuckies must be like that, having lost their shine once Arcade Games fell from grace in the late 80's (CURSE YOU, NINTENDO!!!)

But NO! I've been to locations in places like KENT and even that one in OHIO where the fight broke out that was on the news not too long ago! And THOSE Chuck E Cheese Restaurants are kinda AWESOME! They all got new equipment, new games, new electronics and new prizes! WHY CAN'T THE ONE NEAR ME BE COOL LIKE THAT?!?!?!

The one in Bellevue used to be a strip club...and they didn't repaint the men's room when they remodeled into Chuck E Cheese.

Yeah, I've noticed that one is really wretched, too. :/ Has been since at least 1997 -- last time I was in there. It's kind of soul-killing.

We need a good Dave & Buster's out here, or something.

chuck e cheese isn't as cool as it used to be. now they have 'america's incredible pizza company' to deal with about 5 min. from the one closest to me (it's by shallows at stop 13 rd, indpls 46227).

and 'america's incredible pizza company' place used to be an old kroger... and the buffet is way better than the chuck e cheese one. the only bad thing is their go cart and bumper cars are for kids 5 and younger realistically... but their glow in the dark mini golf is cute. ... i think there's more stuff for adults honestly. there's different themed dining areas-one of which has a huge movie screen and plays old classic movies.
