So about 2 weeks ago Crystal started calling daily to make sure that we get our new Dell Netbook Every day, something new... she had all the promises and the names of those who had made them. New, better Netbook at the same "Black Friday" price, and with a note in to the warehouse to "expedite" the order. Despite the expedition of the order, it still would not be shipped till after we got back from Disney Land :(

Every day she would ask them if there was any way to get the order here faster, every day they would say "The warehouse has been informed to ship the netbook via overnight shipping as soon as it leaves production".

Then, one day last week Crystal had a stroke of Genius. She asked "Well can they expedite the *production* as well in order to get it here faster"? Oh OF COURSE we can do that let me just send a note to my supervisor and...

all i could think of was The Wizard of Oz and the doorman, saying "Well THAT'S a horse of a different COLOR! C'mon in!"

And so now the Netbook is ready to ship, and for the past three days it has been "Your order will ship either today or tomorrow". I just wonder how long they'll try that "Today or tomorrow" story on us?

Until the day after the UPS Guy leaves it tucked under a cabbage leaf in the front garden...

don't laugh... that's what happened with our last directv box. They left it in our carport. It was out there, in the snow, for a week before we thought to call someone. No note on the door, no call, no nothing. 2 days after we called and discovered where it was, they called to ask us how we liked our new service :/

I hope you are still calling every day, at least until they provide you with the tracking number. This had better be the best darn computer around after everything you guys have had to do to get it.

I believe it. One year UPS delivered my christmas presents to an address that was 2 blocks from my house, and when I walked over to it, found an empty field full of weeds & garbage.

...Fortunately the UPS guy had actually dropped it at the front office of an apartment complex that was 100 yards away from the empty field. Showed them my drivers licence, & went home to celebrate christmas...

Yup, still calling. I'm not going to let them screw me.
