ECCC Game Plan

Okay, here's the plan. Feel free to shoehorn your way in to it if need be :)

FRIDAY
  • Crystal and I are getting in line at about Noon, since we have no idea what time you get in line for a convention that starts at 2 in the afternoon. Two hours? Will that get us near the front of the line? I am scarred :(
  • 2pm - 4pm, Crystal will be heading straight for wherever the front of the line is for getting seats to room 4A. I will probably scout the area for free crap and then meet up with her before they open up the room.
  • 4pm to 5pm, Room 4A - "The Wil Wheaton Awesome Hour", not to be missed!
  • 5pm to 6pm, Room 4A - James Marsters (sorry, Larry Nemacheck... "Spike" beats out Star Trek this time).
  • 6pm to 7pm, Toss-up! Depends on my mood... stay in our seats in room 4A for Johnathan Frakes, or maybe out in to the Dealers Room to buy some comic books...
  • 7pm to 8pm, same toss-up. It'll really depend on if I stuck around for Johnathan Frakes.
  • 8pm to ??? - Buffy Sing-along in 4A.

SATURDAY
There is a fly in my ointment for Saturday. MANY flies, to be exact...
  • 5am till 9am - Wait in line. I love being one of those "How early did you have to get here to be in a spot like this?" spots :)
  • 9am till 10-ish - Here is Fly #1. Do I stay in line and be one of the first ones in the doors as tradition dictates, or do I abandon my post for the Seattle Geekly Star Trek Trivia Competition? Last year I CLEANED UP at that trivia contest, and went home with lots and lots of prizes! I HEART PRIZES!!! Even if I leave a member (or members) of my party at our place in line, there's no guarantee that I'll be able to rejoin them if I break ranks. This one will be decided on just how close to the front we get by 9am I guess?
  • 10am till 8pm - Room 4a. Once again we plan to set up camp early and get in to the line for Room 4a, establishing primo seats as our base camp. There is not a single moment of the day where no one in our party isn't interested in something. The most difficult time will of course be at 4pm and the William Shatner panel, since there are no less than 12 people who have asked me to "Save A Seat" for them. I'll hold what I can, folks, but it's gonna be first-come first-serve!
  • 8pm till ??? - there's the Masquerade Contests, after-hours Magic The Gathering, Movie screenings... SO MUCH GOING ON!!! As a group, we will decide what we're doing even if it's just heading back to our place and going to sleep.

SUNDAY
  • More relaxed... I won't get whiney about everybody needing to get their sorry butts out of bed so we can get going till like 9am so we can be there at 10ish. Sunday is my BIG shopping day and the day I try to get all my autographs.

I want to find you on Saturday. I'll be camping out in 4A until 4PM, too. I'll be wearing my lurker dress and carrying around a backpack. Long (almost to my butt) brown hair. I'll probably mill about the room between panels yelling, "Slinky?!? Slinky?!? Slinky?!?" unless you have a better idea. XD

Rumor has it that NerdProv will have a special guest. Heard anything about it?
