Offensive Christmas

From a Facebook post of a (now) ex-friend this morning, "Happy Birthday, Jesus! Don't forget that he IS the Reason for The Season and if that offends you then you can SUCK IT"

Seems like the type of person who yells at their kids at Disneyland, "DAMMIT WE'RE HERE TO HAVE FUN NOW STOP CRYING!!!"

I saw this, too, and just shook my head. So many people professing to be christian but not acting very Christ-like.

I thought even the Vatican agrees the actual birthdate was sometime in the spring, and they chose to piggyback the existing, wildly popular Yule celebration, with its evergreens and bonfires to light the night... but what do I know. I just read stuff.
