Lots of stuff has made me wish I could talk to you again since you died - just little things, nothing mind-blowing, but stuff I'd really like to tell you. But since you're not here any more but I am, I figured I'll just put this stuff on my Livejournal page since there's just about as much chance of you seeing it *now* a there was when you were alive (you never did fully embrace the whole Computer-thing).
The first thing that made me realize I wanted to write to you was that you'll be happy to learn your Truck DOES have a Gas Light! You had always insisted that there wasn't a "Low Fuel" gas light indicator in there, and that a quarter of a tank was "Empty". Well I'm proud to say that not only does it have a Gas Light, but the needle can and will go WAAAAAY below the "Empty" mark without running out of gas!
In hindsight, I suppose your insistence of putting $20 in the gas tank every payday and then stopping to put in another $3 to $5 every time you went out was just a really good excuse to get out of the house every once in a while, wasn't it? Brilliant move there :)
The night you died, Mom handed me the keys to your truck and said you would have wanted me to have it... I hope you're okay with that? I promise not to let this one get stolen, abandoned, broken in to or improperly maintenanced by somebody who would put oil in the transmission and transmission fluid in the brake fluid like I have done in the past :)
Molly loves the Truck and is really looking forward to Summer so she can use the back as a swimming pool :)
That's all for now, I'll probably write to you again soon!
Love, Brian
