Sporting Question: Food

I have a legitimate, non-sarcastic question regarding Sports. It's part of my attempt to get past the belittling "I know not of your 'Sportball', you neanderthal mouth-breather! BEGONE! For I have much worthier pursuits in a more intellectual vein such as Comic Books and Science Fiction Movies of the seventies!"

I hate it when I find myself being jerkishly judgmental :(

So I'm approaching Sports from the angles I'm familiar with - Gaming and Food.

The Gaming angle is easy - Football is like a Warhammer LARP, or watching a really fast game of Bloodbowl. Baseball is like Pokemon (CCG, not the video game), and Basketball is like Magic: The Gathering. There's rules, that's easy to follow.

But my question is about FOOD.

It's well established that the foods for Baseball are all "Snacks" - Peanuts, Popcorn, Cracker Jack, etc... the high end of Baseball Cuisine is the Hot Dog and/or Nachos. That's easy.

Football is a step above that, what with their "Tailgating". The low-end of the Football Menu is the Hot-Dog and Nacho, with the high end being burgers, ribs, BBQ chicken, giant sandwiches, Hot Wings and the likes. A portable "Hooters" kitchen.

But what do you eat with Basketball? I've never seen anyone eating at or around a Basketball game?

You know, I've been to a couple of basketball games, but I don't remember food. It didn't seem as food-centric as the other sports, even when watching on TV with friends.

Uh-oh... so much for my "in" there :(

The thing I hear about being consumed the most at a basketball game is beer. But only if you can afford the concession prices,

Expensive, watered-down beer is a part of ALL the sports, though... there's GOT to be some food that the Basket Ball People eat, right?
