068 - "Stress" Nightmare

The amount of stress and pressure I am feeling over Oddmall was present in my weird nightmares last night, only instead of being all red and black and smelling like cold steel (as balls of stress and pressure do), they were hot pink and bright yellow and smelled like a freshly opened pack of Lifesavers candy.

If your stress can be pink and yellow hard candy, it's the best kind of stress you can have :)

(BTW, this post is in accordance with the Dream Post Rule - Up to three lines of introduction, up to three lines about the dream content, and up to three lines discussing those dream contents and what you think they might mean).

069 - Progression of Amusements

Because such things should exist but they don't, here is the natural progression of Family Friendly Amusement Venues, leading up to the ultimate experience, a Disney Theme Park. Think of it as a ladder!

1 - Public Park
2 - Public Park w/Playground Equipment
3 - Splash Park
4 - Park w/Lake or Pool
5 - Chuck E. Cheese Restaurant
6 - "FunPlex" Restaurant w/Laser Tag, Go Karts, etc
7 - Parking Lot Carnival
8 - County/State Fair Carnival
9 - Local Amusement Park/Water Slides
10- Non-Disney Theme Parks (Cedar Point, Six Flags, Knott's Berry Farm, etc)

070 - Dreamer's Cut

No idea if this video is a hoax, a fan film, or legit, but it's messing with me.

Those of you who have known me for long enough know that the movie "Tomorrowland" messed me up pretty bad. It was a full year ago now and I STILL can't bring myself to watch it again or even touch one of the pins from the movie, for fear that it WON'T have an effect on me.

I saw a completely different movie than anyone else did. The movie everyone else saw was... well it was the same movie, but...

The movie most people saw was a wire coat hanger. It was simple, plain, a bit boring, standard Hollywood plot points and emotional grabs that you could see coming from a mile away.

SOME people saw that there was a coat on that hanger, though. They said "Oh yeah, okay, I get it... the hanger is there to hold up the coat, the coat is kind of gaudy though but pretty in it's own way I guess".

And then people like ME, which were apparently less than one percent of the people who saw the movie, said "ARE YOU KIDDING ME? LOOK AT THAT COAT! It's woven from dreams and hopes! It sparkles with a reflection of my own shortcomings and unfulfilled promises! Yeah there's a coat hanger there, but DUDE! LOOK AT THAT COAT! It fills me with pride and shame at the same time, resulting in some whole new emotion I am unprepared to process! I can't look at it any more, but I also can't stop thinking about it! It's so wonderful it makes me want to cry!"

And those first folks are "Dude, seriously, it's just a coat hanger, a cheap little metal one at that. Get over it."

And those second folks are "Well yeah I see the coat, maybe it's just not my style? You obviously like it better than me, but really... it's just a coat."

Every once in a while I try to explain the movie as I saw it, and people tell me how wrong I am. They say they didn't get THAT from the movie AT ALL, and the more I hear about what THEY thought the movie was, the more I see why they wouldn't be as excited about it.

It's not the best coat in the world, it's just a wire coat hanger.

Anyways... I hope that the "Dreamer's Cut" of this movie is long enough to make people feel what I felt from this movie.
