Movies no one ever saw

THREE MOVIES NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE HAVE SEEN
(1) Party Monster: Macauley Culkin and Seth Green in the true-life story of the BIRTH and DECLINE of the "Club Kid" generation.

(2) Series 7: The Contenders: An "Indy" film parody of Reality Television. Like "Survivor", only in an urban setting and you have to kill your opponants.

(3) The Wizard of Speed & Time: A great movie about a guy trying to make a sample reel of special effects in order to get a job doing the big effects for a movie, but he hasn't got the money! Hijinks ensue as he tries to raise cash and make the effects on the cheap, and the big pay-off is a great behind-the-sceenes look at how special effects are done by the average film maker.

Feel free to comment if you've seen any of these flicks and agree/disagree, or if you have any suggestions for me!

I go back and forth as to whether or not I actually liked Party Monster. Macaulay Culkin was so over the top, and I love Seth Green, but there were some places it just didn't flow right for me. I mean. Even as a completely over the top movie. Heh.

Haven't seen the other two, but Series 7 sounds like Battle Royale.

Yes... an American Battle Royale with adults, filmed "Survivor"-style complete with cheesy graphics and voice-overs. It's shot as the "Season Finalle" episode of the 7th season of this particular reality show, complete with "Earleir this season we saw..." type moments.

I wanted to see Series 7, but it ended up under the radar, and I never saw if/when it was released.

I've actually seen Wizard of Speed & Time.

It has got to be the most awesome little thing... Yeah, little to no special effects budjet, but I thought it was amazing everything they could do with what they had available at the time...

And it was funny. Which is always a plus.

WOW!

Of all the people on my friends list, you were the LAST one I would have expected to have seen this little obscure corner of pop-culture!

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat....

Just 'cause I grew up in a foreign country doesn't mean certain poorly-known bastions of cult sci-fi didn't manage to make it to us...

(there WAS a barge that came into Nawiliwili Harbour once a week with packages from the Mainland, you know.)
