Shock not lest ye be shocked thyself!

I am shocked by the amount of people that I work with who have seen the movie "Serenity" but never even heard of the TV series "Firefly". The only way I am discovering this is by having the Sci-Fi Channel Firefly Marathon playing on my TV here at work. No less than 4 people have walked by and commented "I don't remember this scene from the movie... was this in the movie?" I then have to actually INFORM THEM that it was a TV series first, and suggest that they get the DVD collection.

Equally as shocking is the fact that I have never read the Sci-Fi classic "Enders Game". I have now been properly chastized for it and will get myself to a Library as soon as humanly possible to get a copy!

I was much more compassionate than I probably should have been. All I did was let the air out of their tires in the parkinglot.

Next time, though, it shall be Bitch Slaps for EVERYONE!

i watched firefly when it was on tv, original episodes and everything! :) One of my favorite parts is where they are explaining to the big bad guy how he is to take the money and go back and say sorry, and he says no and then he gets sucked into the jet engine and they go to the next guy and he is like, oh yeah, got it, take the money and you're sorry, no problem! lol! In the movie I like how he has the spine that isn't vulnerable. :)

I have read Enders Game, and the entire series, you will definitely like it, if you are like me of course. :) If I had my stuff out of storage I would let you borrow it. I literally have nearly every book I have ever read, and I have a lot! Enough for my own library, which was part of my intention, to have one of those rooms with a library with shelves that go floor to ceiling, that would be cool. I even have a number of my toddler books, the ones that survived. :) Out of the series, I liked Enders game, and the sort of alternate view on it, Enders Shadow the best. You chastize back at those who chastized you if they haven't read Enders Shadow. :)

If you make it over here before you make it to a library, we have it. I think I even saw it recently in the office storage room! Also, we have the next couple, although I seem to be stuck in the middle of Xenocide.

I'll see if my copy is in any of the 1st layer of boxes....

I'd appreciate that, thanks! Having a real hard time making it to the library :(
