Here's what was going through this guys head

"Gee, my web pages have been loading awfully slow for the past week or so... what time is it? 12:30 in the morning? I think I'llc all Comcast and bitch at them about it! I'm sure that 12:30 in the morning is the best time to get this issue resolved!"

Later, after our conversation...

"Man, that guy was total BULLSH*T! He didn't know what he's talking about! And I KNOW that just because I'm running Limewire and Bear Share at the same time, that should have NO EFFECT on why my web pages are loading so slow!"

I love limewire... if pings to their modem are over 6000ms, I ask if they can turn off their limewire.... voila! all fixed!

they're always *SO* surprised.

I love the almost *disturbing* trend that 100% of the people who call in to complain because things go so slow when they're using a P2P client are RARELY ever using just ONE P2P client at a time. it's always Limewire and one other... Kazaa, Bear Share, or any one of a gazillion Torrent managers.

The sad part is Freak has left his Bitcomet running before... it consumed SO MUCH bandwidth it killed our CDV.

Dial tone, dialed number, no ring - just dead air.

It was awesome.
