Molly

She's been awake since 4:30 this morning, begging for more Popsicles. Orange ones, to be exact.

We bought the giant Costco Box of 300 OtterPops about 6 years ago, and till this week we had eaten maybe 100 of them.

We are now down to our last 50. And they're going FAST!

Also, Molly is NOT impressed with the television programming that is scheduled before 6 in the morning. If somebody could get on that and change it for her, she'd greatly appreciate it. KTHXBAI.

Canceled cable about three weeks ago, when we had all the nice weather :/

There are always DVDs...you don't have to suffer like my mother did in the pre-VHS days. When I was Molly's age I was quite convinced mommy could make sesame street come on whenever I wanted to watch it. Because mommy would say it's time for sesame street and turn on the TV and like magic...there it was!

"Mommy, I wanna watch sesame street."

"It's not time for sesame street right now."

"But I wanna watch it NOW...make it come on mommy...why won't you make it come on?!?" *insert temper tantrum here*

oh gawd, this morning I was right there with you. Aurelia woke up at 5-something, which is just NOT OKAY AT ALL. :|

I feel fer ya, man.

This is why we have every "Backagan" (Backyardigans) DVD ever made, in addition to "The Chipmunk Adventure" and multiple Disney DVDs. ^_^

Isaiah's always been partial to 'green' and 'blue' when it comes to OtterPops.

Oh, I've got the DVD's ready :)

The Classic Sesame Street set that you steered me towards about a year ago (gots to post the video of her watching Grover for you to see), Classic Winnie The Pooh, Mary Poppins, Super Friends and a whole bunch of video taken from Disney land gets us through just about any morning :)

Hey, you're planning on going to get Free Comic Books tomorrow, aren't you? Just wanted to be sure :)

[identity profile] schizoauthoress.livejournal.com 2008-05-02 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Possibly. I think I have to work earlier than usual tomorrow, so I'll have to go to bed as soon as I get home tonight and wake up extra-early if I'm going to get Free Comic Books at that store by the theater...they're still participating, right?

[identity profile] captain-slinky.livejournal.com 2008-05-02 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup! They're actually the one store I know of that will let you take *all8 the free comics instead of just one or two of 'em :)

They open at 10am.

DRAT! That's when my shift starts! Oh, I am starcrossed this month...

[identity profile] captain-slinky.livejournal.com 2008-05-03 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Am i gonna have to make a Special Delivery to you at werk tomorrow? 'Cuz I'd do it fer ya :)

Any comics this year that you're especially interested in seeing?

[identity profile] schizoauthoress.livejournal.com 2008-05-03 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, that's sweet! Since I am pretty clueless when it comes to comics ("The Walking Dead" being the only series I really follow besides the occasional foray into "Wonder Woman"), you don't have to feel obligated to do so. I was actually hoping to go and get a little in-person tutelage on what-to-get from the master (you)... *sigh*

I'd be quite happy to be specially-delivered any comics you'd think I'd like (or ones I'd be a total, complete, and utter loser for not reading this year)...otherwise, I'll be okay.

Thanks for offering!

Wow! 4:30? She could have taken Todd to the boat for me and I could have slept in! I hate "leaving day" cuz it always gets me up and out of the house much earlier than a normal person should have to be alive.

Next time (if there is one. We think this is his last patrol but we're not sure) I'll give you a call so Molly, who appears to like that time of the morning, can drive him to work :)

[identity profile] thecookielady.livejournal.com 2008-05-02 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Cool! So all we have to do is 1) teach her the rules of the road, 2) rig something so she can reach the peddles and 3) boost the seat up so she can see over the steering wheel. I'm sure between the two of us, we can figure it out.

Oh yeah... 4) figure out a cover story to tell your wife.

Move #4 to #1 and you've got a deal!

Hey Brian,

It has been more than a month since you posted on your livejournal. That is unprecedented! Are you dead? Seriously, you can tell me if you are dead. I will understand. I don't agree with the dead lifestyle but I respect their desire for equal rights. :D
