You will not be shocked.

My Sister, Beth... the one I blame for all my hang-ups re: Drugs, Alcohol and/or pretty much all mind altering substances...

Beth is in jail right now for having shot her Boyfriend, Barry, at approximately 2:30 this morning. At point-blank range. While he was in bed. In the back.

Can't get much information since Beth is in Jail, and they don't consider "Brother of The Lady Who Shot The Patient" to be close enough of a family member to disclose any medical information about Barry. I heard that they've removed the bullet, at least...

I don't think Beth's coming to the family reunion this year... or any other year from now on. Unless we hold the reunion at The State Penitentiary.

Well, on the bright side, maybe she'll get the help she needs to keep herself clean for good... Of course, no one will benefit from this except her. At least it would give her a good, long life to think over the actions of the past?

Obviously this is a crappy situation-- I've known folks who abuse dugs/alcohol, and it always seems to end with the person either their own bodies or ruining somebody elses. Hope she's able to learn something from such a terrible experience.
