This year will be the first year I have a NON-BLOOD RELATIVE coming to Geek Camp. For those who need to know, Geek Camp this year is scheduled for Thursday, August 12th till the Weird Al Yankovic concert on Tuesday August 17th.

Plan accordingly!

What is Geek Camp?

"Geek Camp" will have it's own entry later this week. In a nut-shell: I take my teenage nieces (who are being raised in a NASCAR/Blue Collar Comedy/Two-And-A-Half Men households) for about a week and give them crash courses in all things Nerdy. RPG's, Computers, Sci-Fi, Costuming... I cram as much as I can in to the week.

I'll be posting my Schedule Of Events should you feel the need t make an Adult version :)

It would be amusing, somewhere in Alter-Earth, if there's an Alter-Captain who has gotten suckered into opening & running an actual "Geek Camp", just like the "Church Camp" that happens every summer in August... With counselors, & bazillions of kids ranging from 8 - 16, and all the obnoxious maddening shenanigans that go with it.

Organized around the vast range of geekery available, instead of the teachings of That Really Nice Jewish Carpenter like the camps I attended...
