Okay, NOW they're just effin' with me...

Website says "Stay away from all this stuff" (see previous post from me), then links to a page of tasty Gout-Friendly recipes where all but one recipe PROMINENTLY features forbidden ingredients!

The first one that struck me as odd was the "Updated Waldorf Salad" which features roasted nuts and dried fruit with leafy green vegetables (all three forbidden).

Then they went on to suggest a few sandwiches (no bread allowed) and a GREEN LEAFY DUCK SALAD!

They may as well have suggested a standing rib roast stuffed with chicken gizzards :(

wut? -_-

Maybe they're just lower than average in the stuff that affects gout? I think more research is in order.

Research is showing that lots of websites will pay "Axperts" to write a one-or-two-paragraph solution to the problem of Gout :)

It all depends on where your gout is stemming from. There are many different causes of gout, and there are some common threads that affect them all so that's usually where your doctor will start... treating the symptoms instead of the cause (MODERN MEDICINE FTW)

I'm going in to a clinical trial for new Gout treatments... I hop I'm the type of guy then can use! Free doctor, free medicine AND compensation WOO!!!

Why am I not surprised.

I've seen all sorts of recommendations for what I experience, and it's all come down to me making guesses on my own and figuring out what type of diet (as in regular habitual diet, not weight-loss diet) works for me.
