Forgot to post a picture of Molly from Halloween; her costume went through MANY transformations.

At her SCHOOL, which had their Non-Secular Fall Seasonal Non-Denominational Observance Costume Day* at school on Friday, she dressed-up as Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), but by Saturday morning she had firmly decided that she needed to be Batman-Girl for Trick-R-Treating.

This is one of those things I love so very much about Molly - She knows she's a girl, she knows that all the best characters are Boys. She doesn't want to be a Boy, she doesn't want to be a feminized version of her favorite character... she wants to be that character, only a *girl* instead of a boy. It makes lots of sense to her and me, not sure if it makes sense to anyone else.

"I want to be Batman-Girl!"
"You want to be Bat-Girl?"
"No... Bat-Girl is different. I want to be BATMAN-GIRL"

Hee, that's precious. And she's absolutely right -- being confined to being a watered-down version of an awesome character because you're a girl and they're boys sucks! Good for her. :D

as a longtime follower of comics, you KNOW that there are realities where Batman IS a girl. So it makes perfect sense for her to be Batman Girl.

There's the Casandra Batgirl that is skill and brute force, but still no Batman.
There's the Stephany Batgirl that is ... no Batman by far.
