Funeral For A Friend
The myth of The Modern Age Collectible Comic is officially dead; pulled a black-bag Superman #75 ("The Death Of Superman") out of the quarter bin at Half Price Books today. I'm now positive that nothing made after 1986 will ever be worth anything, ever. All you "Investment" "Collectors" can go ahead and donate that box full of Valiant and Image #1 issues to your local Goodwill, reclaim a few feet of storage space and maybe a little dignity.
On the PLUS SIDE, for those of us who like to READ comics in our collection and collect them because we actually LIKE them, this is EXCELLENT NEWS! I've pulled nearly a complete run of the new "Jonah Hex" comic from the ten-for-a-dollar bins! Just waiting till I have the entire pre-DCU52 issues before I start reading... I *may* have to pay up to a dollar per missing issue though :(

I also encourage my nephew to read my comic books. Anything that will get a kid to read is a good thing
