Fate Smiles

Today is much, much better than yesterday. The call volume is at the nice level where we get a good three-to-five minutes between calls, I've got brand-new Exo-Force Legos to play with, and I'm sitting next to ke7bo, who is a consumate professional at this job despite it being his final day here. It is making for a most excellent day! And when I boil it all down, I owe my happiness to khristle who worried and fretted for me and bombarded me with love, kisses and support while I was tense and depressed. Thank you, Schmoopie!

Now I've got 5 minutes till lunch, then only 5 hours till I'm off werk and on my weekend! HOORAY!

Bestest Customer Quote of Tonight (and possibly ALL OF FOREVER)

Background info: The customer has been trying to set up a Wireless Router all day long. He has bought *FIVE* brand-new routers today from various manufacturers with no luck. He can get internet connection when hooked directly to the modem, but can not get any router to pick up the IP even after powercycling. His proof that it's not working has been to simply click on internet explorer and if it says "Page Could Not Be Displayed", he figures it doesn't work. So I asked him if he's tried pinging any websites from the command prompt, and this was his reply:

"Have I tried to ping? Have I TRIED to ping? Well YEAH I've tried to ping! Heck, I've pinged like a hundred times trying to get this stupid thing to work! I'll ping it again if you want me to, but I know it won't work...

...

...Uhm... how do you do a ping again? I forgot."

CLASSIC!!!
