Bitter memories
Aug. 13th, 2003 10:43 amWhen Kevin Closson bought a copy of The Incredible Hulk #181 for $15 back in 1986, I thought "Dear LORD why would anyone ever pay THAT MUCH for a comic book?"
He bought it because it was the first full appearance of his favoirte member of the X-Men, Wolverine. I mocked him for days and days about it figuring he had WASTED his money on something totaly lame, and I proceeded to spand my own money on *important* comic books like Atari Force, Manhunter, and the entire "Marvel New Universe" line.
The stack of comics I bought with my $15 are now worth almost $3, and that one comic book that Kevin bought is worth just over $1,000.
