This post is about one of the many, MANY things that I love the most about my wife... but because I'm so narcissistic it's really mostly about *me*.

In pretty much any job I've ever held, somebody has asked/said "Ohmuhgaaaaaad Brian how do you come up with such funny things to say all the time?" and my standard reply has always been that i stay up late at night thinking up witty one-liners and come-backs like some banter-based chess champion; "Okay, if somebody says *this*, then I can reply with *this*, and if they then say THIS in reply then I can say THAT and they'll have to say THIS so i can say THAT and then everybody will laugh ha ha yeah that's a good one okay NEXT TOPIC! What if somebody says..." and so on and so forth. And partially, this was true.

I spent A LOT of time ALONE. Not *lonely*, just... alone. And I spent most of my time reading old comic books, watching old sit-coms and entertaining myself by saying stuff out loud to see how it sounded. Yeah, I know... kinda crazy loner "parents are urged to keep an eye out for this man and keep their children away from him at all costs" disturbing. But hey, it worked! I've never been at a loss for words in my entire life because of this, as long as the other person in the conversation is willing to start the conversation and keep feeding me lines :)

When Crystal and I first started dating, I told her how awesome it was to have somebody in the car with me to just... to just *hear* what I was saying instead of me having to be the crazy guy talking to himself in the car. That was something new and cool to me :)

Before Crystal, I shot off literally HUNDREDS of snappy one-liners and witty retorts that nobody ever knew about or noticed or even *heard*. But once I had Crystal with me, and she was with me every moment of every day as my companion and best friend... suddenly I had an audience for my non-stop comedy routine!

Which brings me to that thing that I dearly love about her, and I noticed this again today which is why I had to blog about it tonight. No matter how terrible the pun or lame the joke, no matter if I say it loud for all to hear or just barely whisper it to myself... every single time I say one of my lines?

She laughs for me :)

I don't know how he does it! A lot of my joke-lines have in the past gone undetected because they're just not funny or the people around me thought I was serious. But EVERY SINGLE TIME I intend for something to be a joke, she gets it!

I love her so much :)
