I made a few New Year's resolutions.

The first one I've been serious about all year long and is just a continuation of what I started in 2012 (Eating food that is better for me, even when it's fast food).

One was a Pipe Dream that has already been restructured ("Get To The Gym At Least Three Times A Week", never made it to the Gym *once*, has been mutated in to "Do At Least One 30-Minute Block Of Physical Activity Per Day" and that seems to be working out okay).

The third one, which was proposed by a local used book store, is to read at least one novel per month. Not a comic book, not a "Graphic Novel", not a collection of short stories, but a NOVEL. So far, I'm doing okay with that.

Reading "The Hunger Games"as my first novel, because I'm a Reverse Hipster. "Yeah I'm reading a book, you've probably heard of it already because they made it in to a major motion picture - it's pretty main-stream. Of course *I* read it AFTER is was a big thing..."

Let me know what you think of The Hunger Games! If you'd like any other reccs, I'll do my best to provide some. :)

It's a pretty good series. It is well worth the time spent.

All in all, a book/novel a month is a noble and attainable goal. Not to mention the fact, you are setting a good example for your offspring. Reading is cool!
