So yeah, i went down to the Radio Station for my interview today, interviewing to be part of "Team No-Name". If I'm chosen as one of the final 4, I'll get a really expensive mountain bike and have to ride it from Seattle to Portland.
The interview went very well! I'm now the "Sant Clause Comic Book Guy" on their list! I think the odds of me winning are pretty good, but I'm just not sure yet. They had a guy come in after me that weighs about 50 Lbs. more than me, but he used to be a Pro Football player.
They'll interview four more people tomorrow. All I have to do is be less fit than the people who are in it tomorrow, and that bike is as good as mine!

15 minutes of fame
Date: 2003-06-05 08:45 am (UTC)Guess what?? I heard you on the radio yesterday! I thought you were perfect for Team No-Name. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
So what is No Name really like? Do you remember when he was making Timberlake do all those jobs that no one else wanted to do? He was supposed to come up to our bait business and work for us, but he didn't think his car would make it so he canceled. We were pretty disappointed, and No Name was going to send us a box of End crap for our trouble. Well it never showed up, so he is on my list! :)
Well, good luck on making the team.

Date: 2003-06-05 10:07 am (UTC)Timberlake, on the other hand, was so opposite of what I expected! He was like the "In Charge" guy, meeting and greeting and returning all the calls... much nicer (and better looking) than his on-air persona would suggest!
So now I just gotta hope i get on the team.... I'm going to make it all the way, i just know it! I mean, look at who I was up against yesterday... a "slightly pudgy" librarian, and an ex-football player! Who wants that type of stuff on the team?
