captain_slinky | Thankful Three Part 2 (Reply)

Here is the second of my Thankful Three posts (the first part of which, as well as the explanation of how it works, can be found by clicking here). I'd like to point out that NONE of the folks I tagged in the first post have created a single Thankful Three post yet, which disappoints me greatly - if we're ever going to take back the whole "Meme" thing from those lazy "Repost A Picture I Saw On Somebody Else's Facebook Page" people and make it MEAN something any more, we've GOT to do this!

Okay, on to the Thankfulness :)

1) MY FAMILY IS BACK! Molly and Crystal were gone for almost TWO WEEKS and I finally got to pick them up from the airport yesterday! SO HAPPY! All my pieces are back together again :)

2) THE INTERNET! While I as all alone, The Internet reminded me that nobody EVER has to be truly alone as long as they have The Internet. No matter how unpopular or frowned-upon your opinion of something may be, you can ALWAYS find a dozen or more folks who agree with you and are willing to talk about it with you - HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!?! Back in 1989, I felt like kind of a loser with my love of Disco and Gilligan's Island and Doctor Demento and Comic Books and all the stuff that I knew was awesome but nobody - NOBODY - in my small town had any love for. Now I can just go on-line and find THOUSANDS of people wo want to share in the awesome of all those things, and I can feel like I really belong :)

3) SCRAPPER DISNEY PINS! This is related to that last one, and if you have no idea what I'm talking about that's okay. But I found a large community of folks on-line that don't care if your pin is a "Real" pin or a "Scrapper", and that's pretty darned cool considering that the vast majority of Pin Collectors will yell at you if they find a scrapper in your collection :)
