First post of 2002!!!
Jan. 1st, 2002 12:44 amHappy New Year! I think I might be drunk. Drank 3/4 bottle of White Zinfadell, 2 "Kane's Hard Cola"'s, 1 "Mike's Hard Lemonade", and 1/2 bottle of "Mike's Hard Iced Tea". This is only amazing because I RARELY ever drink... and if I do, it's like one beer, or one glass of wine. So why did I do it?
For her.
Tonight, when I mentioned that I *might* be interested in having a bit of wine tonight in order to celebrate the New Year, a certain twinkle came to her eye that I didn't recognize at first. But as she went on and on about how she was REALLY looking forward to "getting buzzed", I finally recognized that twinkle; it's the same one *I* get when I talk about comic books! Really, it was quite eerie.
I have pretty much always been against drinking, thanks to my having been raised by not on but TWO very alcoholic parents. Growing up, I saw all the effects of the white-man's fire water and decided early on that I wanted no part of it.
So now that I've drank all this booze? Well, I feel a little ill. It's lie I have a mild headache, my mouth is dry, and my entire body now knows what my leg feels like when it falls asleep. Quite frankly, I don't like it. Why do people do it?
