Perfect Gift
Apr. 4th, 2004 04:05 pmI just dreamed of the perfect Birthday gift for
dotgirl, but it's smeting I can't get her. Really, it isn't.
I was just getting up and ready for work when she stopped by my house (the converted two-story garage out by Boomers Landing, remember?) and she asked me if I could take her to a Drug Store for some things, something about Chris having Riley and the car, and Crystal was already at work. So we got in to my truck (Frank... you remember Frank) and drove a few blocks in to some weird area of Oak Harbor that we had never been to. We saw a QFC, but she said that she would *really* rather have a real Drug Store, so we went on and parked the truck. We walked to many different shops, lots of them places I ended up draging her in to (like the Star Trek Uniform Shop and the stinky Thrift Store), but all in al we had a very great time just like we used to have.
How the heck do you give someone *that* for their birthday? Work and personal-life schedules do not alow for random journeys like that any more!
