Ronereeeeee, so ronereeeeee...
Oct. 27th, 2004 01:00 amJust got back from dropping
khristle off at the airport, so she can go and visit her family in Ohio for a week. I really, really, REALLY would have rather had her stick around. We've been pretty much non-stop together for the past three years, and I'm not looking forward to a solid week without her :(
Lucky for me, I got all of my crying out of the way earlier in the day so I could at least look strong for her. Because I know that if I had started crying with her around, then *she* would have started crying, which would have made me start crying harder, and then... well, just too much crying.
It didn't really hit me till this morning that she was going away. And so everyone at work, all day long, kept on telling me that I looked like crap and asking me what was wrong. I guess I'm not very good at hiding my emotions? My Supervisor let me go home early so I could spend a few extra hours with my schmoopie before she left, and that was nice. I like having a chick for a supervisor... they fall all over a good sappy story. And if you're a guy who's willing to cry in front of someone about how much you'll miss your wife? Forget about it!
SO! What are my plans for the week? Well,
collisions and
dotgirl will hang with me at some point. A trip to Ikea or some such nonsense will be enjoyed by one and all! I do believe that Sushi will be in order at that time. I don't think we've taken Chris to Sushi Temp in Bellevue yet, but I could be wrong...
And by the Gawds, I do believe that I just might finally get the time and gumption to join
aquatwo atthe Monday Night Magic Gathering in Lynnwood! He's called me nearly every Monday night to see if I'm up for game, and things just haven't quite gelled enough yet for me to be comfortable with staying out late on a work night, but I think this will be my big chance to try it out!
Other than that, I've got plenty of DVD goodness to catch up on (Star Wars trillogy, V: The Complete Series, and a few episodes of MST3K that I downloaded), and there's always the veritable Movieplex of the "On Demand" section of Comcast. Gazillions of movies, all at my fingertips! MWA HA HA HA HAAAAA!!!
Yeah, I don't think I'll be hurting for stuff to do... I'll just be missing my favorite companion :(
