Twice I have attempted to make a nummy broth from scratch, boiling the bones from the previous nights dinner in a big pot with various vegetables in hopes of getting ll the flavor out, at which time I would strain out all the bones and chunks of vegetable and be left with a delicious home-made broth.
Twice I have started brewing said broth at about 4 in the afternoon, intending to turn off the burner before I go to bed.
Twice I have filled our apartment with acrid, black, foul smoke that takes 3 days MINIMUM to get rid of, even having all doors and windows open and all fans blowing on high.
From this day forward from where the sun now sets FOREVER, i SWEAR I shall not attempt to make broth again EVER!
