Nov. 20th, 2002 11:10 amFinally, the television show Birds of Prey is being put out of it's misery. Looky here:

I've been trying to figure out why I hate this show so much, and why it brings me so much joy to see it cancelled. Well, think of Comic Books as being my Bible... it's as if they decided to make a TV series called "Carpenter of Nazareth", claim that it's based on the life of Jesus, then basically re-packaged a bunch of "Dawson's Creek" and "Felicity" scripts with minor changes so that Jesus can now go out with is College buddies and turn all their water in to wine.
They had a great concept! The comic book was practically *written* for television! I'm not saying that I wanted a direct adaptation word-for-word or anything... but they totally raped the original concept! ONE CHARACTER remained the same! The rest of them seem to have been plucked at random from the Joss Whedon bag of generic characters! AAAAAAARGH!
So anyway... good ridance to Birds of Prey. Maybe we can get another good show, like Smallville, in it's place.
