It might be the Vicodin talking, but...
Sep. 26th, 2006 07:26 pmJoe (my dentist) hurt me today. It didn't hurt while he was doing the stuf to me... matter of fact, I actually fell asleep while he was elbow-deep in my mouth! But here I am two hours later, the novacain has worn off, and now my jaw and teeth are all the hurt. Vicodin is helping me now... making me alternately Loopy and Un-hurty.
So I called in sick.
Which has given me an EXCELLENT amount of time for listening to and enjoying Weird Al's new album, Straight Outa Lynwood! If you want to download and listen to it, go ahead and download it from me, here: http://www.filefactory.com/file/9ef089/
It really is quite excellent! Besides the obvious parodies of Chamillionaire, Green Day, Usher an R. Kelly he's also got some spot-on "style" parodies of The Beach Boys an Rage Againt The Machine, as well as the all-star charity efforts of the 80's such as "We Are The World".
Best reason to get the CD rather than just download it? It's a dual-disk. The second side is a DVD with 6 music videos (sorry, no "White & Nerdy"), a nice behind-the-scenes of Al in the studio, Karaoke/instrumental versions of all the songs, and a "subtitled" version of the album so youc an read along with the music!
Best $17 I've spent all this week!
