Craving

I'm proud to say that I haven't even had a single *craving* for Fast Food in several months now, and the only time I have had any Fast Food in that amount of time has been last week when I was mislead to believe that I needed t buy a Value Meal at Taco Bell in order to get my Battlefield Heroes Swag Code (I could have just bought a large drink, ended up with a drink AND two tacos).

And by "Fast Food" I don't just mean restaurant stuff - I'm talking FAST FOOD. Pre-packaged meals, prepared nuke-n-eat snacks... a Box of Hamburger Helper, a microwave burrito... even Frozen French Fries. If I want something, I make it from *scratch*. Mac & Cheese is noodles and a fresh-made cheese sauce. Hot Pockets are replaced with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. It's cheaper, it's just as easy to make (if not sometimes even easier), and I feel good about using "Real" ingredients.

HOWEVER!

Yesterday was a difficult day. For some reason my Lap Band was REALLY restricted so I was only able to get down a few bites of food all day long. By 10pm (an hour-and-a-half after we went to bed) I was STARVING.

Earlier in the day we had discovered three forgotten Corn Dogs in the freezer while doing some Clean-n-Toss in the kitchen.

As I lay there in bed, I started obsessing over those corn dogs.

By themselves they were nothing; at best a greasy diversion of tasteless over-processed sludge with little to none actual nutritional value. Ahh, but what i could DO to it to jazz it up!

I quietly got out of bed and went to work on my Master Plan.

First, I microwaved a corn dog just till it was barely thawed; removed the stick and cut it in to bite-size medallions. I arranged them on a plate and took one cup of home-made Chili from the freezer. I placed the puck of chili in the center of the plate, making sure that it covered or at least touched every piece of corn dog. Nuked till the Chili was melted but not HOT. Yet.

Final step; the last of my Home Made Cheez Wiz, right on top, nuked till hot n' bubbly.

CHILI CHEESE CORN DOG NACHOS. OMG!!!

Thought of a great idea for an iPod App the other day, figured I should put it on The Internet somewhere as a "Proof Of Concept". Not that I'll ever figure out how to make an "App" or anything, but I figure once this gets made I'll at least be able to look back and say "Hey, I had that idea way back then!"

I'd call it "WeatherTunes". It would link your music library to your geographic location and the temperature for that location. At the touch of a button, it would play a song (or songs) from the year that matches the temperature of where you are. EXAMPLE: Sunny and 72 degrees outside? You know it because "Smoke On The Water" by Deep Purple is playing! Rainy and 54 degrees? Rosemary Clooney is belting out "Mambo Italiano"!

Pointless, useless, and I figure on ten million downloads first day of sales :)
