Final Flight

As you all probably know, Tonight is the last night you'll ever be able to ride the original Star Tours ride in Disney Land. They'll be shutting the old ride down and refurbishing over the next year to bring us an all new "Star Tours II" that will feature the latest and the greatest innovations in HD Motion Simulated Ride Experience along with an all new flight plan. I'm excited and sad at the same time.

So I figured I'd post this here and invite everybody to share their favrite Star Tours memory. I'd love to hear any and all stories pertaining to what is my absolute favorite "Post-Walt" ride in the entire Kingdom :)

MY MEMORY: This ride has too many awesome memories for me. It was the very first Disney Land Ride I ever rode on back in 1991, when I went to the park by myself and mistakenly thought that Tomorrow Land was the entire park(!). But my BEST memory was last year, taking Molly on the ride for her fourth Birthday. Our Flight Attendant just fell in love with Molly and wished her a Happy Birthday over the intercom! It was January so it was very easy for us to just get back in line and keep riding the ride over and over again :)
