Day 00 Of Being Alone: The First Night
Jul. 3rd, 2014 09:57 amCrystal and Molly are in Ohio visiting the maternal side of the family, while I stay here and look after things like our cat and our dog. Way I figured it, I could either spend a grand to go and be miserably hot-n-humid in Ohio with my family, in turn making them miserable as well with my whiney attitude, or I could sty here, SAVE that thousand bucks and use it to take us all to DISNEYLAND where we'll all be SUPER-HAPPY at a future date!
The choice was clear.
And since Crystal was worried that I'd just mope around and be Super-Depressed while they are gone (since I *have* been in a major nihilistic depressive spiral of self-awareness and hopelessness for the past half year), I've decided to blog EVERY STINKIN' DAY with the activities that I'm doing as PROOF that I'm okay :)
And so last night, after I dropped them off at the airport, I came home and watched one-and-a-half terrible movies before going to bed:
NIGHT OF THE CREEPS - Classic 80's horror flick that I'd never gotten around to seeing and figured I never would since I've got The Kid all the time. It was an awesome, super-cheesy movie and I kind of loved it!
MEATBALLS PART 2 - As much as I love love LOVE the original Meatballs with Bill Murray, I had always looked forward to seeing this Murray-less sequel that featured Paul "Pee Wee Herman" Reubens as a fairly main character. I was so disappointed, though, and ended up rage-quitting half way through. I might try to finish it tonight, but probably not... too many other awesome films to see!
Considered subscribing to the Full Moon Entertainment Streaming Service, but it seems that the only *classic* Full Moon movies they have up currently are the Puppet Master series - and I had really hoped to finally watch the entire "Trancers", "Demonic Toys" and "Doll Man" movies - pretty sure they did about half a dozen cross-over films in the late-80's/early-90's that I've always wanted to see.
Plan for today is to SHOWER, MAKE THE BED, GO TO THE POST OFFICE and GET SOME FOOD COOKING.
