Gilmore Girls is getting better and better each week, but only in the way that your shoes get better each time you scrape a little more dog poop off of 'em; even once they get all this crap scraped off it's STILL gonna stink like dog turd. But this *is* my favorite pair of shoes, so I guess I'll keep them around.
As it stands right now, I'm really digging everything about the show EXCEPT for Loreli's storyline. I just don' care any more. I'm really taking it way too personally. I spent a HUGE chunk of my life as a "Luke" and I really really REALLY identify with him, and I've had a wimmin-folk do that type of thing to me before. And even though he tells everyone he's really okay with it an he's over her, he's really hurting inside more than anyone will ever know. I spent THREE YEARS getting over a situation like that. I SKIPPED CHRISTMAS, MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY! I know exactl how debilitatingly depressing that type of rejection can be, and I find myself HATING Loreli for putting Luke through that. And by proxie I also hate Christopher. I jut despise her entire storyline right now and can't bring myself to even begin to care about what he does or if she gets hurt.
Having said that, I don't know if the Loreli scenes really ARE written much less spectacularly than the rest of the show right now, or if it's just my prejudice? The rest of the show seemed to be almost up to par with the previous few seasons of Gilmore, but the stuff with Loreli and Christopher felt forced and, well, lame.
