Sometimes I'm just too judgemental

Almost made a new friend today over the phone, but decided against it at the last moment.

She SHORT version of the story: Guy about my age, with a baby daughter just a bit younger than Molly, and I was helping him and his girlfriend set up internet service so they could activate his XBox Live account.

• Hey, they're our age!
  
• They like video games!
  
• They have a baby!
  
• We could HANG!

But as the conversation progressed, I started hating these people more and more and more till finally? I was just happy to get them off my phone so I could go wash my hands.

• Guy had to get his Mom's permission to add internet service to the account.
  
• Girlfriend having a spirited argument with the "Mother" about which half of the trailer was off-limits.
  
• Guy needed to know how much longer this would take 'cuz he really needed a smoke.
  
• Girlfriend and guy gleefully telling me that they'd both look for jobs starting Monday as long as the Mother let them get the XBox Live for their 360.
  
• Guy didn't care for any of those "Faggy" games like Oblivion: Elder Scrolls.
  
• Guy only likes games that let him "roll" like it is in his real life; GTA San Andreas, True Crime, Halo 2...

And so I guess I'll just keep to our small circle of friends for now. Maybe I'm just too picky.

Very true, and Tina Faye was singing a bit from Annie on her show and you know if Tina does it it pretty much shoots it off the cool meter for me!

But Amy Irving is hot in Yentl.
