Molly has decided and I agree
Jun. 1st, 2007 11:19 amToday is a "No Pants" day.
Tried to put pants on the child and just won't have it. I even tried enticing her with phrases that have garnered cooperation in the past such a "Want to go to The Park?" and "Let's go outside! You like outside?" These key phrases usually result in an enthusiastic gathering of shoes, socks, pants, binkies, bottles... all sorts of things that say "LET'S GET TO IT, DADDY! THE PARK IS DA BOMB!"
But today I was lucky to even get her in to a diaper. We tried shorts, khakis, jeans, sweat-pants, dresses andjumpers - NOTHING has stayed on for more than a few minutes at best. CERTAINLY not long enough to then get on a pair of shoes!
So instead of walking to WalMart and going to The park, we are enjoying a day of Good Time Great Oldies (97.3 KBSG) on our deck, basking in the sun and frolicking in a Spider-Man wading pool full of blocks and balls instead of water. We'll see about The Park maybe after our nap.

Date: 2007-06-01 09:55 pm (UTC)You've got cross-walks beting acros the overpass, but not *everywhere*. I'd suggest driving across I5 then doing your Parkness once on the opposite side of the highway.
Martha Lake doesn't have much in the way of *trails*, but the park itself is awfully nice with lots of grassy area and playground equipment, plus al the docks out on to the lake for exploring! The Mill Creek Town Center area is excellent for kid-walking in theory, I just haven't had the guts to walk all the way down that great big hill with her yet. Gonna save up for a bus pass JUST to take us down the hill so we can walk around that area and visit the library and whatnot :)
I'm up for park-buddying any time! When are you available?
