Stumbling through The Internet looking at images of Vintage Super-Hero Toys, and I came across THIS:

My eyes.. they STILL burn! Tried to find the article that this image originally came from, but it's gone... just the image remains. I know I've got a bunch of Super-Historians on my FL... anybody gt a background story on this one?

You can click to enlarge... it's a fun toy for kids! Stuff your pillows in to it and you can make them in to the biggest toy you've ever seen!

The biggest toy with the fullest, pouting-est ruby-red lips you've ever seen!

I've collected Superhero stuff for years. I've even worked in a comic store; but THAT is something I have never seen. And it's for kids?

It qualifies as a toy, certainly. Just not a childs toy.

Somewhere on this computer I have a similar picture involving a Jabba the Hut "toy".

But yeah. That is both amusing and frightning all at once.

Wait.

No.

What the eff is up with his mouth? They want that thing to be for kids? I mean, I could see if he didn't have the whole "me love you long time" mouth thing going on, but seriously.

This reminds me of that vibrating Harry Potter broom. I'm sure they're going to wonder why so many adult men are buying this pillow.

First, it has the current DC logo which hasn't been used for long so this is not a vintage toy. I did a search of Superman Snugglers. See what I found.

I can hear the commercial voice-over already... "The new SUPERMAN Stuff-n-Hug-n-Play Snuggler makes it possible for children of any age finally face-hump Superman"

Two things.

Thing the First: I cna hear the commercial in my head with the announcer saying "Since the 1940's, children around the world have wanted to face-hump Superman..."

Thing the Second: That LOOK on Superman's face! Very stern! Very determined! Very "I... WILL... Fellate... YOU!!!"

*WHEW*! Okay, good... it was just a simple Photoshoping prank! I did a quick search for Superman Snugglers and was only finding the "Animated" Superman!

I was just about come back here and say the same thing. The look of Superman, with that determined scowl on his face (I can hear him thinking, "Penis! My only other weakness!"), made me search out to make sure it wasn't true.

And yay, it's not. Maybe I'll stave off the nightmares now.

the photoshoping is just Wrong... and the fact that they sell these at Walmart still (Apparently it was a 'clearance item') and it came up in your vintage search is wrong as well..
