Whatchoo talkin' Gout, Willis?

I am slowly recovering from the most severe Gout Attack I have ever had in my entire life! My big toe had been aching for the past two or three days a little bit, not enough to make me rush to the medicine cabinet for the Gout Pills. But then some 8 hours ago at 3am I woke-up CRYING because I was in so much pain! I rushed to the bathroom to get the pills! I cried some more! Crystal woke-up and took care of me, giving me plenty of love and pain meds till i finally fell asleep.

Oh, and at some point I also picked my way through a pint of rotting bing cherries in the fridge because that's the old home remedy for Gout.

Crystal stayed home from work today to take care of Molly for me and I am so happy she did it... there's no way I could have taken care of Molly all hopped-up on goofballs like this!

Now I'm awake and eating a cold Herfey's hamburger. LORD how I love me some Herfeys! The burger is always delicious, sure... but THE FRIES! OMG THE FRIGGIN' FRIES!!! Crinkle-cut and (I assume) double-fired so that a good 85% of the fries are translucently orange with crispness *drool*.

Okay, still kinda out of it from the pain meds, so I'm gonna hobble myself back in to bed now.

Oh, big sympathy. Gout is so painful. Although it's rare for women to get gout, I get it from time to time and have to keep colchicine in the house (not sure if it's prescription in the US or not). If you take it at the first sign of an attack you can prevent the worst symptoms.
