My mantra is silence is golden, duct tape is silver...this is why I won't be having children. I am not nearly patient enough to deal with half of what you just described before I would be resorting to duct tape.
Suddenly, I am also reminded of our DARE officer in elementary school who shared that when he was an infant and was fussy his mom gave him a tsp of brandy to calm him down. I mean...but she was from the old country and all...but I could see myself doing that too...again, there are many reasons I'm not having children. :)
