Stupid video almost kept me up all night... thankfully, 2am-sick-sleepy-crying Brian was smart enough to put on his headphones and listen to stand-up comedy till he fell asleep instead of dwelling on it.
Very powerful statements there. It really hit home for me as I just watched my father die Tuesday morning at UW Medical Center. I can only hope that the limited benefits that Dad had through MediCare and Social Security won't destroy Mom financially.
Hokey smokes, Lurch... I had no idea! How did I miss that update??? I had been following how hard it was on you while he was in the Hospital, but... Tuesday? Wow.
Nothing can be said except for the standard "I am sorry for your loss" :(
Keith Olbermann is a person that I normally can't stand because he is part of the scripted WWE style feuding with other hosts of opposing viewpoints and networks and drives people away from the center and toward the extremes along with O'Reilly, Beck, Maddow, Limbaugh, blah blah blah.
He has one very strong gift though which is to make strong emotional appeals. Normally they are full of anger and outrage. For a moment he has used his power for good.
I agree with him that if the government can't check their political party egos and get something done they all need to go. I am already planning to vote against every incumbent from Washington that will sit in Congress this fall. If they can't break the gridlock they need to be kicked out and have someone else put in who can.
I think people should have free will when it comes to making decisions for themselves. I can't stand people meddling in the rights and beliefs of others because they think they know better.
