I'd suggest that you give "Tangled" a try, but most folks who have a natural aversion to Disney will avoid it like the plague simply because it *is* Disney... but it's really good! A bit darker, a bit more self-aware... still has sappy songs but everybody who HAS seen it and dislikes Disney movies ends up liking this one :)
